While this is true, boys are also not usually “expected” to have matching accessories and shoes to go with an “outfit”. If you are truly putting together an outfit, you have to factor in the cost of earrings and an necklace, possibly a bracelet, and a new pair of shoes if you don’t have them to go with the dress. Plus we spend money on make up and nail polish if you want your nails to look nice/match the outfit. 

Not that I’m saying you have to purchase all of those things for every outfit, but if I’m putting together an new outfit to treat myself or for a special occasion, i usually do. 

As for the rest of the arguing that is going on: Tumblr. Take a chill pill.  

I put expected in quotes because it wasn’t really the word i wanted to use. But I couldn’t think of another that was better. 

Stacey, I think you forgot the glitter. No outfit is complete without glitter.

yeah… but i already have my glitter stocked up in every possible color, so it’s not really a new expense. ;)
